The taxi stopped and signaled for Sarah to get in.

"Hello George, sorry I am a little busy; I have to go," Sarah lied.

George hit the taxi and signaled the driver to leave.

"Wait, I will give you a ride," George offered.

"No, no, I do not want to waste Your time," she replied, trying to enter the taxi, but it drove away.

"Hey!" Sarah yelled, a little frustrated.

George grabbed her by the hand.

"Why are you giving me the cold treatment?" he asked.

Sarah looked up at him, caught out of words.

"The accident happened ten years ago; yes, I was a jerk and an idiot for ordering everyone to leave Ezra, but we were sixteen years old, some fifteen, some fourteen," he said to her.

Sarah looked away.

"At that age, we make mistakes, costly, sometimes deadly mistakes but that does not mean we should be judged by that mistake for life," he added.

"Would you please let go of my hand?" she requested.

"Sorry," George said, moving away. "Come on, let's talk," he requested.
