CHAPTER 78

Rage slowly consumes him, as he walks toward me heavily. My knees were shaking but I’m trying not to be obvious. I step back and tried to hide the phone behind me, but it was too late for that.

“You’re calling him?” His baritone voice was low because Amari is just sleeping a few distances from us.

Until I felt the cold wall at my back, he got me cornered between his arms.

“You’re still hoping huh? Let’s talk outside.” He added, and before I could even react, he drag me out of Amari’s room.

“Give me the phone, Jada.” His eyes piercing at me, but I didn’t budge. I hold the phone tightly instead.

“Amari doesn’t deserve this Martini. You’re just using him so you could take advantage of me, can’t you fight fair and alone huh?” I shot back gritting my teeth. I saw a hint of shock on his face, but later on, faded and was replaced by a wide smirk.

“So you knew?”

“You were there earlier when I was talking to her on the phone right?” He asked again when I didn’t bother to answer.

“Who was it?”
