Chapter 99: Scars

I looked up at the peaceful plantation. The hot sun was shining for a moment. I stood up and for a moment felt the rush of air. It was a sign of peace. Serene that I almost felt allure for it.

"Cienne," his deep baritone voice echoed.

My gaze rose there. His soulful eyes glancing at me felt surreal. Like it's too precious in my eyes and I can't just help but to watch him in awe staring at me.

I settled there. My lips rose as I glance at him.

"Don't mind me here ..." I smiled.

I turned to him and smiled. His eyes were on me as fix my gun. It was there that I finally realized the difference between him and Rahym. It was too evident. He's too serious unlike Rahym. He's too grumpy. The edge of my lip rose even higher.

"Then?"

"You can do what you wanted?" his voice hoarse.

I shook at what he said. Though when I grinned teasingly his eyes narrowed at me.

"I'm a visitor here remember?" I smirk when I saw his brows furrowed.
