When James reluctantly ended our passionate kiss and pulled back, I was flushed and my mind was in a muddled mess. I was breathless as my body shook ardently, my core heating up knowingly.

“Come on,” James said, shoving his chair back and standing. “I can’t wait any longer.”

My heart raced at his blunt words, and my tummy fluttered deliciously. “But what about dessert?” I asked.

Needless to say, I was looking forward to some chocolate brownies with vanilla custard, topped off with ice cream and strawberries. It sounded so delicious when I’d read it in the menu prior to our meal this evening.

James chuckled and leaned toward me. With his warm breath fanning my skin and his eyes dark with a sense of urgent desire, he said, “You’re my dessert, remember?”
