Nikki's POV
"Jaan (Darling)... Jaan (Darling)"
My heart started thumping fast and beads of perspiration formed on my forehead as he called me by the name which now I loathe from the core of my heart.
He started calling me his Jaan (His life) from the day he came to know the meaning of the word and I have started hating it from the same day. It sounds very creepy in his voice.
"Come out now" I heard his footsteps approaching me "you know you can't hide from me forever!" His voice was low and soft but it was not difficult for me to sense the underlying threat in it.
I shifted more into the cupboard and hide my face in my palms in an attempt to get disappear from this world, I don't want to get caught.
"Enough of this cat mouse game" he screamed all of a sudden making me jump at my spot. I placed my palm on my mouth to restrain myself from making any noise.
