Knowing TOO much

‘I’ve heard we are travelling to south! Is that true?’ The fuming voice of my recently wedding wife snapped me out of the reverie.

It takes me a moment to bring myself to the present. My palms are still very much sweaty at the recollection and for once I’m grateful for her interruption.

I don’t want to remember that night again!

I nod meekly not trusting my voice.

‘What! Why? What is the need all of a sudden? We are doing just fine here. I do not want to go there. I don’t feel like travelling at all.’

Okay, I admit I might have been expecting things worst than that–a proper drama, yellings, or pirouettes of tantrums and delights. But this…well I’d rather not comment on it.

‘Huh?’ I stare at the unexpected outburst and volume of emotions flooding through my mate’s face. Arin has visibly paled at the mere mention of the trip which I mistakenly had taken as a surprise for her overly adventurous self and also to find out the truth.
