Max's parents sat in the dimly lit room, the tension between them palpable. His mother paced back and forth, her eyes wild with anger and desperation. She turned to her husband, her voice dripping with venom.

"This is all your fault," she spat. "If you had just done what I asked, none of this would be happening."

"Weren't you the one who suggested this plan?"

"Yes, but not with this kind of result. You shouldn't have trusted Max to do that."
