Chapter 22

Sebastian seemed to have guessed something after observing the scene before him, but he didn't say anything.

Rosalie struggled forcefully to break free from Theodore's embrace, feeling anxious under the scrutiny of so many eyes. She ignored her husband's grim expression, her concerned gaze falling on Sebastian.

"Mr. Carter, I'm so sorry. Would you like to go to the hospital?" she asked.

"I'm fine," Sebastian replied, his brow furrowed as he clutched his chest, clearly in pain.

Just as Rosalie was about to approach to check on him, Theodore grabbed her wrist and forcefully pulled her back, his face terrifyingly cold.

"Let go of me!" Rosalie tried to break free from his grip, but the man was incredibly strong.

Theodore wrapped his arm around her waist and pulled her into his embrace. His hostility-filled gaze was directed at Sebastian. As he kept his hold on Rosalie, he pulled a check out of his pocket and stuffed it into the other man's suit pocket.
