After a short while, the call connected.

"Hello."

With Rebecca nearby, Rosalie couldn't afford to sound too distant when talking to Theodore.

So, she had to warmly say, "Honey, it's me."

Hearing Rosalie's tone, Theodore frowned, feeling a bit puzzled. "What's up?"

"When are you coming to Grandma's place?"

Theodore glanced at his watch. "I'll come later."

"Can you come earlier?"

"Why the rush? It's still early."

"I just want you to come earlier and spend more time with Grandma."

"Is that Grandma's request?"

Rosalie responded with a hum.

"In that case, you can tell her I'll come later."

"But..."

"Have you forgotten what you said earlier? You've been patient with me for a long time. It'll be more comfortable for you if I come later, so you won't have trouble eating."

After saying that, Theodore abruptly hung up, as though sulking and holding her to her words.

Rosalie had only said those things because she had no other choice, afraid Theodore would find out she was pregnant
