Chapter 30

The sound of Cannon's heavy breathing faded away and Sam's screaming voice filled the air as he called Cannon's name and it paused Elaine in her place, her phone slipping out of her hold.

That time the conversation with Sam from last night buzzed in her mind. He wasn't lying or wrong about the mafia people. Cannon was really in danger. She knew it there and then.
