He got directly home after he left Killian to his place. Mike considered dinner, then a shower and going to bed, when his phone rang.

He picked it up straight away, without even looking at who the caller was.

“Hey, all fine. “

“Mike?”

It was his partner,

“Oh, hi, Jesse. What’s up? “

“Of course, it’s me who did you expect?? “ Jesse exclaimed.

“My mother, maybe. “ Mike joked but Jesse didn’t laugh. Mike was in a great mood- no, more than that. All of the things that had happened in the past few days were still something he had to think over. His being with Killian like this was something he had been hoping for forever. He wasn’t just going to come back here and pretend nothing had happened. Mike had even decided to talk to Killian. For real. Sit down and talk to Killian and ask him.

Perhaps getting out of here wasn’t such a stupid or impossible thought.
