Sixty-sixth Run

Liam has no choice. Even though he wanted to stay with them, he couldn't risk their safety just because of him. He wanted them as safe as possible.

He stood where they left him and watched them drive away from him. As Liam watched the vehicle carrying his friends, brother, and lover disappear into the distance, a deep ache settled in his chest, weighing heavily on his heart. He almost choked with his own sob. Tears welled up in his eyes, blurring his vision as he grappled with the overwhelming sense of loss and regret.
