Jasmine POV

I slowly got my consciousness back blinking my eyes to recognize where I was. "Mommy is waking up", I could hear the chirping sound of my babies. The smell of strong iodine and septic disinfectant filled my nostrils giving me the clue that I was in the hospital.

"I will go inform the nurse," Arianna left the room as I held my bandage head that still hurt.

After a few minutes, my head readjusted and I finally registered the person sitting beside my bed. It was Asphalt. He looked stressed like he had missed his sleep for a year.

"Mommy, you are finally awake,"

"What took you so long to wake up," Emilia and Emil chorused in my face and I couldn't resist laughing. I brought their faces close, kissing their cheeks with my dried pale lips.
