A month after...

Jazz's POV

I couldn't contain my laugh after listening to Jacob's joke. He came to spend his weekend at our place and the kids liked it.

"Least I forget, um...so there is something I have been planning to tell. I hope it settles well with you. I was wondering if you would like to find your mom?," he asked and I looked at him, pausing my laughter.

I never thought about my mom until now. There was a time I was eager to find her and know the reason why she had left me.

But with time, I forgot about her and moved on.

"I don't know, it has been a long time since I thought about her. Besides, it would be impossible to find her. I tried it once but the search failed. In general, I lost interest," I clearly stated having mixed feelings about what I had said.

"C'mon, Jasmine I want to meet your mom too. It would be nice if she explained herself. Who knows, she might be regretting why she abandoned you and doesn't have a means of reaching you," Arianna urged me as she fed Jere
