Boasting

Jessica sat at the table across Cheryl.

All the kids had been sent to a play area for the night.

Jessica smiled at Cheryl, she tried to be polite, " That is a stunning ring"

Cheryl looked at her rudely.

" It is indeed, compared to your probably fake ring. This was custom made by Mark for me", she took it off and showed her the engraving.

" It costed him 250 000 to make"

Jessica boiled with hatred for the arrogant woman but she smiled on the surface. " Some are not as lucky as you to be married to such a powerful man"

Jessica wanted to lash back but she didn't want to scoop so low.

She sat there hearing about the tiara on her head to the shoes on her feet. How expensive it is. How lucky she is. How she has the perfect husband.

Jessica felt like slapping her into reality.

Jessica smiled and tried not to role her eyes.

She knew that Mark wasn't faithful. She also had a fifty five diamond tiara. She may not have the ring yet but she will have it.

And she will be the one boasting about
