145. Common Enemy

Damon's pov

I licked my lips, the mental image doing nothing to sate my hunger for her. I shook my head when I realized there was no way to find her and that I was punishing myself for thinking about her like this.

I was going to find her and make her mine.

"Is there any other thing, sir?" he asked, interrupting my thoughts.

I almost glared at him but refrained, and the poor guy didn't do anything wrong. I was the one over in my head about that damn girl.

She defied me, her chin set stubbornly, and her eyes were blazing with fire that I didn't know she had. When she was on the stage, she looked very much like the definition of a meek mouse.

The way she hunched her shoulders like she didn't want to be there, but her eyes showed complete determination simultaneously, was what drew me to her. She appeared somewhat broken yet had the spirit of a fighter.

It was amazing to watch, and it was mesmerizing. I saw her move with the grace of an eagle, and her body language portrayed every bit of
