93. Kidnapped

I ran out of the house, tears streaming down my face.

I hunched down, out of breath as I felt my heart break over and over again.

I didn't know if it was my brother blaming himself, or my parents letting me go into an arranged marriage. Or the worst of it all, my husband.

The cold expression on his face whenever he looked at me came to mind, he regarded me with such contempt that it felt like I was an intruder in the marriage.

I wondered what I did to make him hate me this much, he saved my family's company and how did I repay him?

I had no idea.

I took a deep breath, trying to calm myself down, but I was too hurt and confused to calm down. I had never felt so alone in my life. It was like I was being punished for the sins I couldn't remember for the life of me.

No one understood the battle I was fighting, internally and externally.

As I walked down the street, I replayed the conversation with Damon over and over again in my mind. His words echoed in my mind like a neve
