Chapter 62

Nicholas Southampton had already lost their count for knocking over the door, pleading with William, who had been hitting them relentlessly for a while until they could not move their body at all, leaving them in the cold dark room and locking the room. They had no idea how much time they had spent in that room after their attempt to turn Alec Berthold into one of their puppets failed miserably. They cried, banging on the door, again and again, pounding on the strong steel door with all their might, hoping William would forgive their failure or whatever reason behind his anger to them. They then lay down, sobbing as they ran out of all their strength thanks to their would-be puppet bodies absorbing half of their life energy, plus the energy they spent recovering a quarter of the wounds inflicted by William.
