Felicity left me in a daze. She always did. Her touch was like ecstasy. I get a taste, and I want so much more.

And finally, I felt her lips against mine. Every longing look, every dream, every touch; none of them could have prepared me for the real thing.

I could have gotten drunk on her taste.

The mate bond really messes with your head. When she walked into the building earlier, I sensed her immediately. It was hard to hold Dex back when we were in the office together. Her scent filled Kai’s office, making it hard to focus.

But I haven’t been able to shake the feeling of dread since Felicity left on her mission.

I’ve seen her fight. I have no doubt that she is going to kick some ass, but anything could happen out there. These people clearly don’t fight fair, hence my still paralyzed leg.
