Jessi's P.O.V.
I stare at the skunks for half a second, and before they can spray, I turn to Wyatt. I know everyone expects me to teleport us out of here so we don't get skunk-bombed, but I think this is a Cressida trick to have us move from this gate. "Quick freeze time," I tell Wyatt. He waves his hand, and everything around us is suddenly still. "Jessi, what's going on? Everything except me and Davina is frozen." Jock mindlinked me. Perfect, my favorite fairy isn't affected either. I need her. "Come to the north gate. I need your mate." "Jock and Davina are on their way. I need you to keep freezing everything until I see if the fairy can help us." Wyatt nods. I see Jock and Davina running towards us just as everyone becomes unfrozen.
