Violet POV

My body wanted a bit of rest today, I don’t know why but I felt weak as soon as I woke up this morning.

Sebastian prepared warm milk for me to take when I told him I was weak and I would say that was what gave me a little strength.

I heard a knock on the door and my mum walked in. “Sebastian said you are weak. Are you feeling better now?”

“No, Mum I still feel weak”

“Have you eaten?”

“I don’t have an appetite for food now but I took milk earlier”

“Does that look like food to you? I am going to bring food and you must eat it,” she said as she left my room.

There was no point arguing with my mum because no matter what I said it wouldn’t stop her from bringing the food.

She came in after some minutes and asked me to get up. She placed the tray on my lap and asked me to eat it. It was rice and plantain, I took a spoonful of rice but it tasted like I was eating stone.

I could not get the real taste of the food so I just kept eating and swallowing till I couldn’t handle it agai
