Emily POV

It's been a week that my mum has been here and she has been enjoying every single day without any complaint.

I am more than surprised that we have not fought since she got here. My dad has been doing video calls all day just to ensure that his wife is doing fine.

He has been asking me when I would release his wife and I keep telling him it is not in my hands but in his wife's hands but he did not believe me.

I was in the kitchen watching my mum cook her specially made delicious soup. The aroma of the food alone is making me salivate.

She gave me a spoonful of soup to taste and she asked me if it was sweet. I don't know why she would be asking something like that since she knows the answer already.

"Mummy, can you serve my soup now?"

She served me my soup and it was when I was taking it that I realized how much I had missed my mum's soup.

If my mum and I were arguing and we had not been talking for a while and I just perceived the aroma from the kitchen I would beg her
