"What happened last night? And why does he want to see me?" I interrogated my maids as they helped me out of bed to get me cleaned up and ready for the morning. I had been trying to come up with instances as to why he said that I had lied to him, but there was nothing popping up in my brain. Everything felt blank and I couldn't understand what he meant by that statement.

Did Kavan tell him anything? No! I highly doubt that. Kavan had given me his word that he would not say a word to Dylan and that he would keep whatever we discussed between us a secret. Besides, we dropped him off last night. If Dylan was with me for the better part of the night, then it only meant that he didn’t see Kavan yesterday after we came back.
