Deidre

The next few hours passed in uncomfortable–and dizzying–silence. Sirius and Mistra stayed to themselves, harmlessly reading the same book, side by side, and comparing notes. I tried not to notice how close together they sat on the couch. I guess it was his lack of human contact, but… he was over twenty years her junior.

At nearly five in the morning, Sirius excused himself through a door I hadn’t noticed earlier for a round of exercise. Apparently this replica had a few modifications, a gym included. Mistra and I were left alone.
