AN ULTIMATUM

Alpha William's footsteps echoed through the grand halls of the packhouse as he made his way to the elders. The weight of their summons hung heavily on his shoulders, and he braced himself for the difficult conversation that awaited him.

As he entered the quarters, the elders, their faces etched with wisdom lines, looked at him with a mixture of sternness and concern. They wasted no time in addressing the issue at hand.

"Alpha William," Elder Zain began, his voice resonating across the room, "we understand that your hopes for a reconciliation with Alpha Amanda have been dashed now that she is married. It is time for you to consider your own path, as the pack cannot go without a Luna."

William's jaw tightened as he absorbed their words. The pain of lost love mingled with the frustration of feeling trapped by the expectations placed upon him as the pack's alpha.

"But I still have a year to find another Luna," he interjected. “I will find a Luna I love as at when due.”
