After Cassandra’s outburst and confrontation with Jane, she returned home, her emotions in turmoil. She locked herself in her room, seeking solace within the confines of the four walls. Inside, her heart ached with pain and jealousy and a desire to cause havoc.

Her aunt Evangeline was not happy about the postponement because she had gloated to everyone she knew about her niece becoming the Luna of Midnight Pack, and she knew how proud Cassandra was about getting engaged to alpha William.
