"Well guess the show is over," the old man chuckled behind George. He turned around.

"Unbelievable." His mate could not have been the strong wolf in the arena just now. It wasn't possible.

"You have to believe it. Everyone does," the old man shook his head. "A werewolf beating a Lycan is a story that would be told for generations to come."

George nodded. Indeed. Seeing her in the arms of another didn't sit well with him. He noticed his wolf wasn't excited to see her.

There was no rush of emotions nor did her scent attract him. He was confused. What had happened to his wolf? It was a shock.

All the years they have been together, he always felt the pull of their mate bond. He felt empty for the first time. He couldn't feel the mate bond and it pissed him off.

He glared at the Kings as they left in haste. They should be the reason for this, he thought. There was no other explanation for it.
