After spending some hours in the bar, Cielo got into her car and drove out. It was late into the night and the road was starting to get deserted. She had drunk a substantial amount of alcohol and the effects were now weighing on her. She muttered incoherent words as her hands wobbled on the steering wheel. She drove to a stop by the side of the road and pulled out a bottle of water, drinking half of its content at a go. She capped the bottle and dropped it back before starting the car again.

She drove to Giovanni's place, and in a few minutes, she was standing in front of his door, ringing the doorbell.
