"I don't care what anyone says," Vivian said softly. "Because they don't know me." Remembering his sadness from the day before, she said. "You don't need to be jealous of Hodja. Instead, I will protect you, so you don't need to worry about me and do what you want. I'll let you choose for yourself."

Embarrassed after exposing herself, she just looked at him with her heart trembling in a way she never knew was possible.
