I'm still trying to wrap my head around the fact that my mother is covering that girl, she's siding with her and I don't understand why.

But I'll give her the answer that she wants to here. So I explained everything for her, even Laila was there listening.

"It was so embarrassing mum and she would have gotten worse. She should thank you for saving her today".

"How sure are you that his saying the truth Aiden?" She asked me. This question made my anger boil.

"Because I know he is and I know his lying. I don't want to speak on the matter again in other for me not this get more upset mum, so drop it". I told her firmly not wanting to hear another word about the topic.

"Now we have a dinner party by 8pm, the Alpha that I just told you about was the one who invited us. So start preparing" I told them as I turned to Laila, telling her to make or bring up any suitable gifts that will fit the occasion.
