Chapter 30 - His Remorse

DR. JOSEPH’S POV

Everything inside me was tearing apart. My consciousness was still intact, and yet, my whole body got taken over by my wolf. There was no way for me to stop what he wanted to do to Andrea, no matter how much I desired her safety and security.

"Away..." I muttered in between my loud gasps while I was pulling my hair as strongly as I could.

I didn’t expect that Andrea would suddenly turn her hand to hold my wrist the same way as I did. "What’s the matter? P-please don’t injure yourself like this. It’s hurting me as well to see you suffering…" she said. "Yes, I may have no idea about what you’ve been through lately, but I know for sure that it’s been difficult for you. You’re still only a human after all. You don’t have to shoulder all of your problems on your own; you always have me by your side, so can’t you at least depend on me too?" Her hand reached for my cheeks, which somehow made me flinch.

My bones began to crack as I transitioned to a heinous-looking beast. I at
