LUNA ASTERBELLE’S POVAlpha Shin’s statements always seemed to get the best out of me. Maybe, just maybe… if I was actually born and raised in the Crimson Moon Pack, there’s a chance that I’d accept Shin’s proposal that we should be mates; if so, then I wouldn’t be able to find any other reason to reject him other than his random ruthlessness."Are you for real? You’re telling a hoax just because I did? I didn’t know you were the type to be hungry for paybacks." I moved away from his tight and warm embrace. "You probably talked the same way to these other creatures and women. Don’t think that I’d ever fall for any of your traps anymore."He shortly laughed, which was immediately replaced with an annoyed emotion. "You’re no fun. But still, I want you to be my mate and officially be my Luna. That’s your fate right from the very beginning."Shin turned around to head out of the underground, so I followed him before he even thought of locking me down there and never coming back to release
LUNA ASTERBELLE'S POV No matter how many times I convinced myself that Yuki was lying to me, considering how I wore something precious to her without her consent, I just couldn't stop thinking of the possibility that Shin really was using me for his own benefit. "Can't you help us get out of this place? You're not residing within the pack house, right?" I begged Yuki to take me and the King over to her dormitory. "Shin will kill me once he figures out that I'm the one who's responsible for assisting you out of the mansion," Yuki replied, obviously frightened of her brother. I placed my hand on one of her shoulders to reassure her that what she was anticipating wouldn't occur. "Alpha Shin isn't that type of brother, Miss Yuki Holmes. From what I heard from Butler Zen, he's protecting you even when you're not in his mansion, since he knows how risky it is for you to be outside." Yuki giggled, and for some
LUNA ASTERBELLE’S POV I've been running back and forth, from the monitor to examine what’s happening out there and to the windows, where I could clearly see a mass of werewolves lurking by. If this was what Dawn was referring to, then I really am in grave danger! Everything I thought of wasn’t useful at all. Whenever I tried to escape through the window, I kept on getting seen by some of the wolves, which made me nervous about the possibility that they would gang up on me. On the other hand, the students from the same floor as me were endlessly banging on my door; they’re harmonized in telling me to go out of my room. I clenched both of my fists as I heaved out a sigh. "Things turned downhill real quick." As soon as I opened the door, a stranger pulled me out of my room. "Did you have a death wish back there, Miss Asterbelle?" she yelled at me with such a frustrated expression. "What were you planning to
LUNA ASTERBELLE’S POV The distant sounds of endless gunshots were heard along with the weeping noise of the students, who were obviously desperate for this massacre to end. If only I had the power to instantly kill those wolves all at once, then they wouldn’t have the need to risk their lives just to protect where they belong. I felt the bag getting lighter, which could only mean that I was about to run out of arrows to use. I guess there are only five left. And yet, the wolves still haven’t even decreased in numbers! Worse, they kept on coming after one of them died, as if they had a hideout somewhere nearby. I glanced around the area in search of Lizzy, and I spotted her just a few meters away from me. I hurriedly went over to her location, which shocked her. "I told you to stay put, Miss Asterbelle," she said as she pulled me towards a safe place that made us crouch in between the trees while their le
KING DAWN’S POV Luna obviously ran away from both me and Shin; I haven’t seen her since I saw the both of them getting out of the basement, where Shin was keeping his women hidden in his cells. I’ve known the three of them for years, and Shin was the least dangerous one, while his brother, Nero, was the only one frightening. I have no idea since when the tables have been turned. Shin seemed like he no longer cared whether someone got hurt; he’d even be the one to torture his own pack members, even if they were women. And judging by the rumors I’ve heard, he couldn’t care less if those women died since he was cursed to have no mate to begin with. "With the way that you’re treating Luna, you’re just going to scare the hell out of her. She would never welcome you in that state," I seriously said to Shin, as if my words would even get to his brain. For all I know, he’d rather pretend not to listen to me since he’s that thick-he
LUNA ASTERBELLE’S POV The wolf that was supposed to be the dominant one ended up dead in my hands. Right after firing my gun, which he believed I wouldn’t do, all of his blood that came out of his head splashed through my entire face. A sticky sensation of fluid continuously dripped from the temple of my head down to my chin. My hands literally shook, not due to fear but because of the overflowing excitement that I received from successfully taking the life of that wolf. I didn’t expect that I’d actually be able to shoot; I thought I was only bluffing. I had that much self-doubt, and yet I did it. The rest of the wolves inside the basement growled when they saw their leader’s body quickly falling to the ground with both of his hands still raised in the same position. They ganged up on me one at a time, so it wasn’t that difficult for me to keep on shooting them until almost half of them were piled up on
LUNA ASTERBELLE’S POV A sticky hand held one of my legs as I was about to go out of the basement. In an attempt to kick it away, I caught a glimpse of a woman’s hair. "Lizzy?" I uttered her name before I bent down to grab both of her arms for me to carry. "Lend me your assistance out here for a while, Dawn." I ordered him at the same time that I lent him Lizzy’s right arm, which he carefully wrapped around his shoulders. "Is she a friend of yours?" Dawn asked along the way out, and I simply shook my head as a response, which made him curious. "If she isn’t, then why are we helping her?" I breathed in heavily. "Lizzy is just someone I recently knew from the dormitory. She might be friends with Yuki, so my conscience wouldn’t allow me to just leave her behind there. There’s no guarantee that the wolves are totally lifeless now; they might have been pretending to be dead," I answered him. "You’re hiding som
LUNA ASTERBELLE’S POV Pitch black. All of what surrounded me was replaced with a dark hue. I could no longer see any other color after what occurred to Lizzy. I thought that Alpha Shin would stop there, but he didn’t. My mind has been going berserk. I could imagine the entire scenery of Alpha Shin suffering from my own hands. But someone was telling me—stopping me from doing anything that I might regret in the end. “When would you stop killing, Shin? I’m pretty sure that all those other Shamans helplessly died because of you as well. Is that how much you refuse to let the virus be cured in your pack?” I asked the Alpha. “I’m not as cruel as you think, Luna.” Shin let go of Lizzy, which urged me to quickly catch her before she fell to the ground. My hands, which touched her nape and forearms, sensed the amount of overflowing heat circulating in her veins. I glanced at Lizzy’s face, trying to find any sign
