Leah’s POV

“And have a stronger enemy that wants to ruin me?” He scoffed. “No. I can’t do that to anyone.” He shook his head.

“Oh?” I felt a little shocked. “But you can kill her?” I was feeling utterly defensive. Remembering the last time I saw him, and what he did, I had to remind myself before I did or said something that I couldn’t take back, that he was a different person now. He was a little younger and something must have happened that made him act the way he did. The moon goddess wouldn’t have given me a second chance for no reason. I sighed heavily.

“No, I won’t kill her.” He looked sad. “I don’t know what to do. If I let her go, she is definitely going to publish that story. I can’t imagine keeping her locked away for the rest of her life. I couldn’t turn her as I explained.” I could see he was really torn up about this, but there was more to it. I could feel it through our bond. I had to change the subject because this was leading us down the wrong road fast.
