Chapter 41: Unripe Timing

When the morning came, the soft light from the sun immediately filtered through the curtains. Sherly, who felt tired from her and George's intense night activity, woke up with her phone buzzing with an incoming call. This early in the morning, no one dared to call her this early aside from her family. Her brothers and her father. She reached for her phone and looked at the caller ID, jolting her awake from her slumber. Beside her, George stirred from his sleep, his eyes blinking open as he groggily asked her what was wrong.

He saw her panic, which made him think that it might be her family who called her this early in the morning.

Sherly's heart sank as she glanced at the screen of her phone, her stomach churning with unease at the message from her father and brothers.
