Chapter Thirty-eight

Liam knew he had to be patient, but it was becoming increasingly difficult to watch Chloe suffer like this. He was determined to find a way to free her, no matter the cost.

Liam took a deep breath as he approached his father's chambers, mentally preparing himself for what was to come. He knew that Alpha Aaron was not one to be trifled with, but he had to try to reason with him on behalf of Chloe. He knocked on the door and waited for the Alpha's deep voice to grant him entry.

"Come in," came the commanding voice from inside.

Liam pushed the door open and stepped inside, his eyes scanning the room. The walls were lined with weapons and animal heads, trophies of his father's hunting expeditions. The air was thick with the scent of leather and musk, and Liam felt a sense of unease settle in his gut.

Alpha Aaron was seated behind a large oak desk, his eyes cold and unyielding as they fixed on his son. "What brings you here, Liam?" he asked, his voice dripping with disdain.

I'm really getting confused with this book now but I really liked the idea of the story at the beginning. I'm going to give it a couple more chapters.

how many authors are writing this book? seems to change so often in different directions I think everybody has left it and I might have to also making no sense
