15. DAISY

The last thing I remembered before I fell asleep, was Valiant pulling me closer after I finished the bowl of popcorn. I didn’t wake up during the night or suffer from another nightmare. Surprisingly, it was the best damn sleep I’ve had since I arrived at their place.

It shocked me when I started to wake up and realized that I was sandwiched between two hard bodies. There was an arm resting across my hips and something long and hard pressed against my ass.

I had read enough books to know that it was someone’s morning wood. But whose?

Frowning, I opened my eyes and blinked at the face resting on the pillow only a few inches from mine.

My eyes darted over his face and then lowered to linger on his parted lips. He was so close that I could feel his warm breath fanning my skin.

“You snore.”

I blinked at him.

His lips curled up into a smile and a moment later his eyes fluttered open. “Good morning.”
