Chapter Sixteen - Make the most of it...

Our night had gone well. We played nice and behaved. I don’t think I will ever get used to this strange dynamic we have got going on. One minute we are fighting, the next we are fucking, and then we are friendly. What is that all about?
We had just arrived back at her place, and I was walking her to the door. I can be a gentleman, sometimes! Aubrey rests against her front door.
“Thank you for dinner,” she smiles.
“You are welcome,” I reply, smiling, also.
Dinner was good, delicious. Suddenly, a silence came between us, but our eyes stayed connected. I wanted to close the space between us and kiss her, but I don’t know if it would be the right move.
