Chapter 93

Mona’s words put a gloomy look on Thaddeus's face. He stared at her face and pursed his thin lips in silence.

The officers in the station looked at the two, assuming they were a couple bickering in public.

Raymond bolted up and stood in between the two of them. He blocked Mona behind him and smiled at Thaddeus to prevent things from escalating.

“Thad, come on. It’s getting late. Shouldn’t you be on your way? You wouldn’t want Samantha waiting, would you?”

Thaddeus sneaked another glance at Mona before he looked at Raymond with the grind.

“What did you tell her, Raymond?”

Raymond’s expression froze. He curled his fist and cleared his throat.

“It’s a long story. How about a rain check? Let’s send her home first.”

“Get out of my way! I will deal with you later.”

Thaddeus narrowed his eyes and pushed Raymond out of his sight. He said to Mona, “I’ll send you back.”

Before Mona could reject, a strong hand grabbed her wrist and dragged her out of the police station.
