An Interlude: Avelyn Shelley Part 9
Winter break came unsurprisingly fast. Since Ava knew Gale and became his girlfriend, she felt like time was flowing unbelievably fast but very pleasant.
She spent Thanksgiving in Toronto together with Gale's family. Unfortunately, Ben, Gale's cousin who lives in Golden, couldn't make it.
When Ava finally met Gale's family, Ben wasn't there. So up until now, she hasn't got the chance to meet him, and she made everyone in Gale's family promise her not to tell anything to Ben. She wants to see his raw reaction. From what she heard, Ben always teased Gale, and she was looking forward to seeing Ben reacting to Gale's "secret girlfriend". She was so ready to meet Ben, but then Gale informed her that Ben got hospitalized due to typhus. Gale promised her that once Ben recovered, he'll introduce her to him. But looking at Ben's condition, Gale thought that it was impossible to introduce her anytime soon.
