LORENA'S POV

I held the phone in my hands longer than I'd intended. Why did I hesitate? I desperately wanted to speak with my mother so she would tell me the truth and just clear the air. It was probably all A misunderstanding, nothing more. Everything father had told me was a lie, it had to be.
