My mom used to call these blue bird days. The sun is shining and there's not a single cloud in the sky. I look over to Tess to see what she wants to do today. "Why don't we get brunch by the pool?" She answers, "Then we can walk to the pier for a bit before you meet Zack for mini golf later?"

"About that. Liam's here." I mention casually. I’m still in disbelief myself. The idiot really messed things up this time.

"When did that happen?" Tessa's expression is unreadable.

"He showed up last night as Zack was leaving. Didn't seem too thrilled to see him in my room."

"But nothing happened with Zack right?" Tessa furrows her brows at me.

"Of course not, but Liam doesn't need to know that. He wouldn't sign the paperwork either."

"He loves you." She states matter of factly.

"Psshhh. He has a funny way of showing it then."

"You're not serious right now are you? He wasn't really with her. He was trying to protect you. Of course he probably could have thought it through a little bet
