"Oh, I'm so exhausted," Zada moaned as she sank into the couch resting her legs on the coffee table, her hand rested on her small baby bump and I sat on the couch opposite hers. I crossed my legs and bit my cheek to stop myself from smiling at the memory of what happened a few hours ago in Theo's car.
"Yeah, same here."
"Talking about that, where did you disappear to?" She asked, smirking and I looked at her through my fingers.
"I told you, I was on a call," I said and her grin grew as she shook her head.
"Right, a call that made you come back with your hair all messed up and your red lipstick smudged, let me not forget to mention the walk you had after that 'call'," she air quoted and
"What do you want?" I asked Mike as I sat in front of him and he gave me an expressionless response, his eyes looked down to my legs before he looked back at my face and scoffed or laughed? "You wear dresses now?" He said and I shrugged my shoulders and he rolled his eyes. "Xania." "Yes?" "You seem to be forgetting what you were sent to do," he said and I uncrossed my legs resting my shoulder on my knees and cupping my face. "What was I sent to do?" I asked mockingly and he smirked, uncrossing his legs and pushing his face in front of mine, his hands were interlocked and he cocked his head to the side. "I sent you to help me ruin Theo Walder, not to fall in love with him," he said and my smile fluttered before a ne
"What are you doing here?" I asked him getting up and he came over to me pressing a kiss on my cheek. I looked at him surprised and turned to see Travis and Zada snickering."I came to see if you guys settled in alright?" He said looking at Zada and then back at me. He pushed out his hand towards Zada and said, "Hi, I'm Theo."She moved forward and shook his hand with a smile of hers, "Zada, so you are the infamous Theo, nice to meet you," she said and Travis cleared his throat taking Theo's hand in his shaking it."And I'm Travis, these two are my girls," he said pointing to Zada and me, who by the way were very amused, and it seems as if Theo was too but he kept it on a simple smirk."Nice to meet you, you must take great care of them, no?" He asked and Travis gave him
Standing by the living room indoor balcony, I looked down at the foyer watching the rich mingle with each other, some giving each other warm smiles while others were clearly faking it. Heaving out another sight, I took a sip of my champagne and looked around the house, even though I've been in here before, I still cannot believe how amazing this house is. The marble stairs tied in greatly with the floor, if I was to get drunk here, I would need somebody to help me walk down these stairs. The railing was made out of wrought iron, clearly, somebody spent the whole day polishing this looking at how much it was shining. The chandelier had to be really expensive, how do people even install it without dropping it or something...Theo's parents sure are rich. "You really don't want to be here don't you?" Adam
All the while talking to Ben, I realised he was actually a not so bad guy, but he did talk a lot about himself, I feel bad that he somehow was also on Theo's book of people to get revenge on."So, what do you like to do?" He asked me and I took a sip of my champagne nodding."A little bit of everything," I said vaguely and I put my hand on his knee. "However, I'd like to know more about you. What do you do in your spare time?" I felt a hard burning stare before I saw Theo watching me with his eyebrows furrowed and clenched jaw, I removed my hand from Ben's knee and put it on my own knee."Nothing too big, I like going to the-""Please excuse me for a minute, I need to use the ladies," I said smiling and he nodded. I passed him another glass of alc
"How are you feeling?" I turned to face the door where Theo stood holding a tray in his hands smiling softly at me. I looked around the room and realised that this is one room I've never been in, I stared down at the black duvets that covered my body. My body was clothed in a white shirt that smelled like he did. I looked at the curtains that were pulled open a bit to allow the sunlight to pour through, "You're in my room," he said and I didn't respond. "Xania?" "Do you have a bathroom here?" I asked and my voice came out raspy, I licked my dry lips and I waited for him to answer me. "That door right over there," he pointed to the door that was on my left-hand side, I pulled the sheets off my body and I hissed feeling an immense pain hit my belly, Theo rushed to my side putting the tray on the bed, he
I zipped up my sweater and pulled my tights on, tying up my sneakers, everything that Theo had bought for me so that I could be more comfortable while I stayed here. I left the room and walked into the kitchen bumping into Leo."Be careful there sis," he said as he caught me in time before I fell. His hands supported me as I found my feet and stood straighter."Thanks," I said smiling and he gave me one too before he squinted his eyes looking at the bag I was carrying."Where are you off to?""Oh, I'm going back home, I already spent enough time here," I said and he nodded before a mischievous smile graced his face."A pleasant enough time?""Yes, Leo, a ve
"What are you doing here, Xania?" "I came to talk to you," I carelessly shrugged and he squinted his eyes, shaking his head. "What about?" "What you always want to know." "You're going to tell me...willingly? At night?" "I'm only free right now, but if you want to reschedule for tomorrow then fine, but you'll be too late," I said and he nodded letting me into his house. "Thanks," I muttered. "I would have tea prepared if I knew you were coming over, this is the first time you've come free willingly." "I don't want tea, can you sit so that we could talk," I asked him and he grinned sitting down next to me and I
I straightened my suit and pushed my hands into my pockets walking confidently into Mike's office, he sat behind his desk talking on his phone with a proud grin on his face. This man really annoys me. To think we were once friends, how odd.I pulled the chair out and unbuttoned my suit jacket before sitting down and staring at him, he clenched his jaw and looked at me as I smirked at him, yeah buddy, I also don't want to be here looking at you."Listen, Jeremy, I'll call you back later, something came up," he said into the phone and chuckled at whatever Jeremy said before ending the call and putting his phone face down. "Theodore," he cocked his head to the side leaning back on his chair. "To what do I owe the pleasure?""I thought I should eventually pop in and greet my friend," I said, shrugging
