“You are with fraternal twins. You see this…." I look at the ultrasound. “there are two babies. The sagittal sign of this baby is upward sloping and there is a lump in the middle. It shows that it's a boy and the other has a downward sloping lump which shows that the other is a girl." Lisa says. As she said, I can see something like that on the ultrasound.

“That must be the reason for you having a huge belly in the fifth month of your pregnancy." She turns towards me. My eyes, stuck on ultrasound.

“Do you want to hear their heartbeat?" I look at Lisa. I gulp the lump and stiffly nod my head. She smiles and gives me headphones and I put them on.

I freeze when I hear two heartbeats. They are very slow and very soothing to the ears. My own heartbeat rises.

The headphones are pulled away by Roma as she puts them on herself. She smiles. Her whole teeth are on display. I look back at the ultrasound.
