CHAPTER TWENTY-ONE

I wrestled with my laced cocktail gown entangled in the shrub. I was too impatient and distraught with anxiety, I pulled my dress forcefully from the shrub and it ripped off, letting out a loud cry. "Damn you, Stupid plant!" I cursed angrily.  

I held my dress in a fancy way to cover the hole the stupid shrub caused, then I cat walked and flipped my hair to the side, trying to mask embarrassment. The guys there watched me with their mouth open. I arched my back, chin up with tummy tucked in... looking all bold and confident, I plastered a cute smile on my face; a smile I had rehearsed in the mirror and I was damn sure I looked absolutely gorgeous. I got to where Jason was standing. He seemed pretty upset. 

"Hey Jay, why the long face?" I traced my finger up his chin. He seized the movement of my hand on his face "Let's go Emily".
