"Why did you never say anything?" Ash demanded.

"I didn't want to lose you. I love you. I love our life how it is." He explained.

"Listen. When I was 18, I got my girlfriend pregnant. She had the baby, and I didn't feel anything. After a year we broke up. I paid her support until she got married to a great guy. I signed over my rights for him to adopt my son." He replied.

"What? How could you walk away? You were young and things are different now. Maybe you'd feel different. If you really loved the woman?" Ash asked.

"I do love you Ash, more than any other woman I've been with. But I don't feel different about having kids. I hoped I'd be enough for you. That our love would be enough." He explained.

"And marriage?" Ash asked.

"Claiming you as my old lady with the club is the same and just as good." He replied.

"My God! You want nothing that I do. In fact total opposite! I don't even know who you are. You need you to leave. I need time to think." Ash replied.
