The chess game began with Lance Scott losing his match against master Kai in the first twenty minutes.

"Do you believe anyone will be able to beat Master Kai? That boy did not have enough knowledge to beat Master Kai; do you think anyone will be able to beat him?" King Azar whispered to his daughter in a hushed voice with a smirk on his face.

"Father, I did not conduct this exam to uncover or find another chess master; rather, I want to see who has more insight and foresight into their opponent's moves. So I am here just to watch their mind move on the field."

"Oh, you surprised me by being so thoughtful and serious about this, I didn't expect this. I can see you were well-trained by Duchess Serena." The king answered.

Princess Sabrina was taken aback when she saw her father supporting the Duchess but not his own daughter.

Castóy Mursô was the next who played against Master Kai, he was playing good initially but he passed out in between. The Duke declared he lost the game too.
