The chirping of songbirds and the earthy thud and rake of the groundskeepers ambling about the palace grounds made me awake with a slow stretch.

Oh my goodness!

“Huh?” I felt a bolt of panic whip through me when I screwed my eyes open to see that some of the rough-faced gardeners had entered the garden, throwing me dirty looks out of the corners of their eyes as they sheared away at the leafy vines.
