Chapter 32 Coaxing into Betrayal

Regina stared at Mr. Tan, her eyes wide with shock. “Resign? Dad, isn’t it too sudden for me to step down without even meeting with the board of directors?”

“I’ve already met with them, and besides, I hold the majority shares in this company. Regina, you must realize what you’ve done to the company. There’s been no progress, and you’ve caused us significant losses. Do you really think you still deserve to lead?”

Regina swallowed hard, trying to maintain her composure. “Dad, I can’t just leave. Please give me another chance. I’ll recover the losses by securing even bigger projects.”

Mr. Tan scoffed, his disdain evident. “How do you plan to do that? You’ve failed so many times that it’s been embarrassing for me. It’s better if I manage my own company. Your academic brilliance has done nothing but bring this family down.”
