Chapter 58 Hunting the Perpetrator

Kevin felt anxious as Henry didn't return home promptly. "Why isn't Dad back yet? The supermarket isn't far from home, especially if Dad is driving, he should have been back by now."

Kevin tried to call, but only got the operator's response. "Where is Dad? Could it be that..." A thought crossed his mind. "Why did I forget this important thing, that mischievous kid..."

Kevin quickly dialed someone. "Hello, uncle. I need you to do something for me."

"What's wrong? It's been a while since you asked me to do something for you."

Kevin explained his plan that he had already thought out. The person he called expressed agreement to do what the young man asked.

Kevin still felt a bit nervous. He could guess, but couldn't know anything for sure.

"Kevin, Mom's back!" Regina entered the room with bags full of groceries. "You wanted snacks, right? I got some for you."

"How did Mom know I wanted snacks? Did Mom go shopping with Dad?" Kevin asked.
