As Layla walked downstairs after Beatrice had dressed her as usual, and Lucius was there to greet her, a perfect plan formed in her head.

She sat down in her chair as soon as the food trays were delivered.

Although Layla wasn't touching any of the platters, Lucius helped himself to bread and egg sauce.

Lucius felt bad for what had happened between them the day before and he knew he should be apologizing but he decided against it.

He had never felt sorry over anything before, and he was not going to start doing it now.
